Today Alex is 4 days old and is making good progress in the NICU. His weight has dopped a bit since birth and is now 4 lb. 1 oz. He continues to breathe on his own and is receiving nourishment through IV feedings. I've only been able to hold him briefly because the nurses are being cautious with the tubes and wires. Alex loves to curl up on his belly and finds comfort sucking on his mini binky. He is tiny but at 33 weeks and over 4 pounds he is actually a big kid in the NICU.
